Policy Leadership Cohorts

Our Policy Leadership Cohorts empower emerging policy leaders to refine skills, share knowledge, and collectively advance impact.

Whether you seek personal growth, to deepen policy strategy, or coalition building, our cohorts offer opportunities to meet, learn, and build connections while fortifying leadership practices.

Cohorts are tailored to different contexts, needs and goals:

For Individuals

We run cohorts for emerging and practitioner policy leaders throughout the year, accessible through an open call. Those seeking to acquire and enhance policy skills, explore professional development opportunities in the EU policy context, and connect and learn from peers, express your interest here: aspiration.limesurvey.net/867263?lang=en

For Organizations

Strategy Design Cohorts provide creative learning opportunities for organisations seeking leadership growth, professional training, and programmatic development. Sessions are architected to empower organisations to "fish for themselves" by honing policy skills and refining organisational strategies.

For Coalitions

Network Strategy Cohorts address timely needs by bringing together policy leaders to develop and strategise on key and pressing issues. Examples include crafting strategic communications, mapping effective enforcement tactics, and strategising on post-elections challenges.

Cohorts are typically organised in groups of 5-7 individuals, allowing for an intimate, participatory, and co-designed peer learning environment. Each cohort comprises six 90 minute sessions, held weekly.

For organisations and coalitions with unique needs, goals, and objectives, we offer customised cohorts. Connect with us at policyleadership@aspirationtech.org and we can take it from there.

My overall experience with the Policy Leadership Cohort was excellent; it actually exceeded my expectations. I found that the sessions focused on the sort of implicit, practical knowledge one usually accumulates from experience (but is never taught in formal education settings). Ultimately, I feel that I’ve gained a lot in terms of the confidence, assertiveness and practical guidance I needed to transition into policy. I also feel that I now have a high-quality/value network or community (i.e., the other cohort participants) from which I could start on my policy journey.

Overall, the cohort experience was really great - I appreciated the opportunity to meet similar young people in the field and the intimate nature of the cohort and sessions. I have come away from the sessions with a lot more confidence and understanding of how EU processes work, as well as useful transferable skills and knowledge that can be used in different contexts.
